Mechanical Inspector (Heating/Ventilation) CoW’s

Assist the Principal Mechanical Engineer/Maintenance Services Manager in the provision of a Mechanical Inspection/CoW's Services. This involves a significant amout of work spent working in close liaison with the appointed contractors in the supervision of installation works and also term contract/day to day repair works. Other key duties include full Mechanical condition surveys and the supervision (including quality checks) of the work being undertaken by the appointed cyclical maintenance contractor and condition/priority repair surveys. Out of hours support may be required.

• Ideally a minimum of 10 years experience in the supervision of all mechanical installations (new build, major refurbishment and planned maintenace works) along with repairs and cyclical maintenance.

• Time served Heating Engineeers/Commercial Plumber will be considered with appropriate project experience.

• Experience must relate to Local Authority type buildings i.e. Schools, Offices, Leisure Centres etc  Knowledge of all the associated regulations is essential  inclusive of asbestos management.

• Experience of undertaking condition surveys of mechanical installations would be advantageous.

• Recognised trade qualification and ideally HNC or equivalent in a related dbject.

• Experience in the use of specalist condition databases would be advantageous.
